Students will need to complete online driver’s permit study and take their State of Maine permit test to be ready to drive prior to the start of the course. 

 

In partnership with Ancora Training, EMCC is offering a160-hour Class A CDL program which will provide students with hands-on training to operate tractor trailers on the road and at pick-up & delivery points. This Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) complies with the standards set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and will prepare students to sit for the commercial driver’s license exam and begin a lucrative career in the transportation industry 

 

Students will also need to complete a DOT physical, Driving background check and DOT drug screen – the costs of these three items are covered and will be administered by our training partner.  There is help along the way to complete these in the weeks or month prior to the course. 

 

This program is limited to eight seats.  

 

On-campus housing is available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please indicate if you are interested on your registration form.

SCHEDULE

This four week program runs July 14 - August 8.

Start date:  July 14

Monday - Thursday : 8 AM to 5 PM

Friday : 8 AM to Noon
